It's almost Fourth of July, one of our favorite holidays of the year! We are proud to celebrate the birth of country and our independence. And there is no better place to celebrate than at the beach. There are celebrations throughout South Walton and Destin featuring fireworks, barbecues, parades, andpicnics. Here's a few of the Fourth of July celebrations in South Walton.
On Wed., July 3, the Easy on 30A Benefit Concert at WaterColor Marina Park will feature performers including Tim Jackson, Ike Bartley & Band, Matt Miller, Jimmy Ward and the Forrest Williams Band. A raffle including more than 70 prizes donated by local businesses will benefit the Lighthouse Family Retreat and Alaqua Animal Refuge. Admission is free. On July 4, start the day with the annual Seaside 4th of July Parade down Scenic Highway 30-A and concluding in Seaside with even more fun. The parade begins at 8 a.m. at the Seagrove Plaza and travels west on 30A to the parade finale in Seaside, Fla. After dark, f ireworks displays will be held in Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Topsail Hill State Preserve, and Sandestin's Village of BaytowneWharf. To see all events in South Walton, visit www.30a.com .
