Fourth of July Fireworks in Destin and South Walton

Happy Independence Day weekend and welcome to the many vacationers visiting the beaches of South Walton and Destin, Florida to celebrate the 4th of July along Florida’s Emerald Coast!

We want to be sure everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend. Therefore, we want to remind guests that most consumer fireworks are illegal and “not permitted” to be shot in the State of Florida. Sparklers are permitted. Locals and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the Emerald Coast’s popular professional fireworks displays at various locations along the coast (many can even be seen from your vacation rental’s balcony or the beach). Here is a list of the professional 4th of July Fireworks displays in and around Destin:

In Fort Walton Beach: Fourth of July Celebration at fireworks at Fort Walton Beach Landing

In Destin: Fourth of July Celebration and fireworks on the Harbor at HarborWalk Village

In Miramar Beach: Red, White and Baytowne celebration and fireworks after dark at Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin

In South Walton / 30A: Fourth of July Celebration in Seaside features a Pops Concert by Pensacola Symphony Orchestra followed by a fireworks show after dark

Also for those looking to start their celebration on Sunday, July 3, Smoke on the Coast will be held at Destin Commons featuring BBQ teams smokin’ delicious barbecue. Attendees are invited purchase samples and vote for their favorites with proceeds benefiting local charities.

Vacationers are also reminded to take normal safety precautions at the beach and on local waterways. Pay attention to the flag warning system and always know the conditions before entering the water.

If you haven’t booked your summer beach vacation, now is the time. View our premier Destin vacation rentals online or call one of our friendly vacation specialists at 1-800-225-7652 to help narrow your search.

See you @ the beach!
