Friday, September 1

American Legends Labor Day Music Festival - Held at the Mattie Kelly Amphitheater at Northwest Florida State College this special evening of music will feature tributes to many great American musicians and bands including the Temptations, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.  Featured performers include: Temptations Revue featuring Reggie Reed, Ron Adams: Shadow of the King and Josh Sirten: A Sinatra Tribute. Live Music at The Hub - Enjoy live music from 7 – 9:15 p.m. by The Scratchtones (tribute to Steely Dan) and The Bankwalkers (tribute to Led Zeppelin) at The Hub in Seacrest Beach. The Hub is South Walton's newest live music outdoor amphitheater and surrounded by casual, local take-out restaurants to enjoy on the lawn or picnic tables. Saturday September 2

Labor Day Concert Celebration at HarborWalk Village – Enjoy live music and interactive performance by The Sauce Boss. From 7-9 p.m., Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton will bring his Florida slide guitar blues, his gumbo, and his own hot sauce for a multi-sensory performance. His show includes a culinary demonstration with audience stirring and sampling the gumbo. Sunday, September 3

Alys Beach 5K and 1 miles Fun Run – From 7 a.m. – noon, the 6th Annual Alys Beach 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run will be held in Alys Beach on 30A, benefiting the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center. Presented by Visit South Walton, the course winds through the resort town and ends with an oversized obstacle course for kids of all ages, along with music, food, and beverages available in the Amphitheatre. The price to participate in the certified 5K is $35 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is $15 (kids 12 and younger only) online in advance until Sunday, August 27 at midnight. From Monday, August 28 until Friday, September 1, the price to participate in the 5K is $50 and the 1 Miler is $25. Any remaining registrations will be sold on Saturday, September 2 from 10am-2pm at Fonville Press during Packet Pick-up. Okaloosa Island Fireworks - The Boardwalk proudly presents the final Okaloosa Island Fireworks show on Sunday, Sept. 3rd. Out on the town with friends or getting the family together for the night, the Okaloosa Island Fireworks are sure to be a highlight of the evening. Labor Day Concert in the Village – Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation hosts its annual Labor Concerts in the Village on Sunday, Sept. 3rd from 7-9 p.m.  Bring a lawn chair, picnic and wine or purchase soft drinks and dinner prepared by the featured restaurant or food truck while you enjoy "Make Me Smile," a tribute to Chicago. The 10-piece ensemble features a 7-piece rhythm section and a 3-piece horn section to authentically represent every nuance of each unforgettable Chicago classic. Live Music at The Hub – Enjoy live music by Raelyn Nelson Band from 7-9 p.m. at The Hub on 30A near Seacrest Beach. Raelyn describes her band's formation as the result of "hooking up with an independent producer and veteran of the rock/punk scene, writing some songs that are part Loretta Lynn, part Cheap Trick, and the Raelyn Nelson Band was formed." Admission: Free. Gulf Place Summer Concert – Enjoy the sounds of Kickstand Jenny on Sunday, Sept. 3r from 5-8 p.m. Bring your own chairs and/or blanket and relax on the grass on the Green at Gulf Place.
