Things to do in Destin for Easter

Spring is in the air and Easter weekend is almost here! We enjoy welcoming families to the beach for their holiday celebrations and annual traditions. In addition to restaurants offering Easter brunches and special menus, there are great Easter events that the whole family will enjoy.

Wednesday, March 28

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Destin Library. Take your children ages 4 and under to the Destin Library at 150 Sibert Ave at 9:30 AM for some early Easter egg hunting. Door prizes, the Easter Bunny itself, and lots of fun await you at the Destin Library. Be sure to RSVP by calling 850-837-8572. 

Friday, March 30 

Easter Crafts at the Destin LIbrary. From 1-4 PM, bring your children ages 4-12 and so they can get crafty and make an Easter magnet. Free and open to the public. Destin Library.

Saturday, March 31

Destin Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The annual Easter Egg hunt for the whole town will be held at the Morgan Sports Center, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail, beginning at 9:00 AM. For ages 12 and under.

Easter Explosion.  The Village of Baytowne Wharf invites you to bounce on over for an Easter Explosion. Face-painting, lawn games, and an inflatable obstacle course are just a few of the many attractions that will be available to enjoy with the whole family. The fun is from 12-3 PM.

Sunday, April 1

Lulu’s Easter Egg Dash. Head over to Lulu’s at the base of the mid bay bridge to enjoy the mad Dash for the golden eggs. The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance for photo-‘hops’. Festivities start at 2 PM, but we recommend going early to get the best spot!

Easter Egg Hunt at The Gulf. The Gulf Okaloosa Island, 1284 Marler Ave, will be hosting Easter Egg Hunts for the kids, and bottomless mimosas for the adults over 21. The 5 and Under Hunt is at 1 PM, and the 6-12 year old Hunt starts at 2 PM.

Helicopter Drop Easter Egg Hunt. The Henderson Beach Resort, will be hosting a very special Easter Egg hunt. Ever wonder how all those eggs get to be hidden for the hunt? Well, come see the helicopter Easter Egg drop candy filled eggs on the front lawn of the Henderson. The drop will be at 12:30 PM so be sure to get there early to get a good spot to watch!

Easter Celebration at the Hub 30A. If you’re staying at one of our lovely properties on Scenic Highway 30A, head over to the Hub, 7000 E County Hwy 30A, for some fun the whole family can enjoy. Live music from 12-2 PM, then the Easter Egg Hunt at 2 PM. “Hop” and “Mary Poppins” will be playing on the Jumbotron throughout the day as well.

Seaside Easter Celebration. The Seaside Amphitheater will be sprinkled with over 18,000 eggs from 11-2 PM. Face-painting, crafts, and great brunch spots will be fun for the whole family.
