Corona Virus Update - South Walton and Destin Beaches Re-Open May 1

As promised, we want our “Dailey Insiders” to the be the first to know about South Walton and Destin beaches re-opening. We’re excited to celebrate the re-opening of South Walton and Destin beaches!

Here are the details of the beach re-opening requirements to allow enjoyment of area beaches while keeping beachgoers healthy and safe.

South Walton Beaches
The 26-miles of beaches in Walton County beaches have reopened with restrictions for use as well as requirements for social distancing. The beaches may be used for activities including walking, jogging, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, surfing, and boating.

Destin Beaches
Destin beaches have also re-opened. This includes public and private beaches, beach access ways, trails, parking areas, and city beachfront parks. Beachgoers are required to continue to practice social distancing and keep groups to 10 people or fewer.

Okaloosa County Beaches & Okaloosa Island Pier
Okaloosa County beaches (James Lee Park and Crab Trap) are now open. Okaloosa Island Pier is open daily. All beach activities, including weddings and beach service, must apply for permits and are reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if in line with the Governor's executive order.
